1.Introduction
Doctor Care (“Doctor Care,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a digital healthcare and clinic-management platform operated by TechCloud India. This Policy applies when you use doctor, clinic, laboratory, patient, appointment, prescription, consultation, medicine, pharmacy, billing, wallet, health-record, notification, discovery, support, and AI-assisted features made available through Doctor Care (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you provide information about another person, including a patient or family member, you are responsible for having the authority or consent required to provide it.
2.Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use and your role, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, and account or login information.
- Doctor professional information, such as qualifications, registration details, specialization, experience, profile details, and verification documents.
- Clinic and laboratory information, including business profile, services, staff, location, and operating details.
- Patient profile information and information about family members that a user chooses to add.
- Appointment, queue, consultation, symptoms, and service-request information.
- Medical and health information provided by users or authorized healthcare providers, including medical history, allergies, diagnoses, prescriptions, medicines, investigations, reports, and health records.
- Documents, images, profile photos, prescriptions, reports, and other files uploaded or captured through the Service.
- Payment, wallet, billing, refund, settlement, and transaction information. Payment providers may process payment credentials directly; Doctor Care may receive transaction references and status information.
- Device, browser, operating system, app version, IP address, access time, diagnostic, security, and activity log information.
- Approximate or precise location information only when a feature requires it, the device permits it, and the user has granted the required permission.
We collect information that you provide, information entered by an authorized clinic or healthcare professional, information created through your use of the Service, and limited technical information collected automatically.
3.How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify doctors, clinics, and laboratories; provide profiles and discovery; manage appointments, queues, consultations, prescriptions, health records, laboratory reports, pharmacy activity, billing, wallet transactions, refunds, and settlements; deliver notifications and support; prevent fraud and misuse; troubleshoot and improve the Service; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our terms and policies.
4.Medical and Health Information
Medical and health information is used to provide healthcare-management functionality, including maintaining records, supporting care delivery, generating or displaying prescriptions and reports, and making information available to the patient and appropriately authorized healthcare providers. We apply role-based access controls and other appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
Doctor Care is a technology platform and is not a replacement for professional medical judgment, diagnosis, or emergency care. Healthcare professionals remain responsible for clinical decisions and final prescriptions.
5.Appointment and Consultation Data
We process appointment and consultation details such as the selected doctor or clinic, patient, consultation type, reason, symptoms, documents, preferred or confirmed schedule, status, messages, notes, advice, and follow-up information. This information is used to coordinate care, enable online or in-person services, send reminders, resolve cancellations or refunds, and maintain relevant records and audit trails.
6.Payments and Wallet
When you use billing, payment, or wallet features, we process transaction amounts, wallet balances, payment status, holds, refunds, commissions, settlement references, and related records. External payment providers may separately collect and process payment credentials under their own privacy policies. We do not require users to place full card, bank-account, or UPI credentials into medical notes or support messages.
7.Camera, Photos, Files and Documents
With your permission, the Service may access the camera, photos, or files to capture or upload profile images, prescriptions, medical reports, verification documents, payment evidence, or other content requested by a feature. Access is used only when initiated or permitted by you. You can manage device permissions in your device settings, although disabling access may prevent related features from working.
8.Location Information
With device permission, Doctor Care may use location information to help find nearby doctors, clinics, laboratories, or pharmacies and to provide location-relevant services. You may deny or revoke location permission and use available manual city or PIN-code options. We do not use location permission when it is unnecessary for the selected feature.
9.Notifications
We may send in-app, device, SMS, email, WhatsApp, or similar notifications about account activity, appointments, queue updates, consultations, prescriptions, reports, payments, refunds, security, and support. Delivery depends on the contact information and permissions you provide. You may adjust applicable device settings or communication preferences, but essential service or security notices may still be sent where permitted.
10.AI Features
Information you submit to an AI-assisted feature may be processed to provide the requested assistance, such as organizing information, reading an uploaded prescription, assisting with clinical documentation, or responding to a health-related query. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must not be treated as a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Final clinical decisions and prescriptions require appropriate professional review.
Please do not submit personal, medical, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for the requested service. We may use technology providers to process requests on our behalf under appropriate service arrangements.
12.Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication, access controls, secure transmission, database protections, audit records, and restrictions based on user roles. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Users should protect their passwords, PINs, devices, and account access and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.
13.Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain medical or transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect users, prevent fraud, and meet legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, or professional recordkeeping obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and context. When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to legal and operational requirements.
14.User Rights and Data Deletion
Subject to applicable law and verification, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Some information may need to be retained for medical, legal, fraud-prevention, billing, tax, dispute, or security purposes. Deleting an account may make health records and other Service features unavailable.
Account and Data Deletion Request
To request deletion of your Doctor Care account and associated personal data, visit doctorcare.life and submit a request through the available Customer Support option. State clearly that you are requesting “Account and Data Deletion” and identify whether the account is a patient, doctor, clinic, or laboratory account.
For security, we will verify that you control the account before processing the request. We will review the request and delete or de-identify eligible information. We will explain if particular records must be retained or access must be limited because of legal, medical-record, transaction, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate requirements.
15.Children’s Privacy
Doctor Care is not intended for children to create and manage accounts independently unless permitted by applicable law. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized healthcare provider may provide information about a child when arranging or delivering healthcare services. If you believe a child’s information was provided without proper authorization, use the contact process below.
16.Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to payment, messaging, video, maps, AI, cloud, pharmacy, laboratory, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies when they independently collect or process information. We encourage users to review those policies before using the relevant service.
17.Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and applications may use cookies, local storage, session storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, support security, measure performance, prevent abuse, and provide functionality. Browser or device controls may allow you to remove or block some technologies, but doing so may affect sign-in and other features.
18.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, technology, law, or our practices. The revised Policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or another reasonable channel.
